Position Available: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Reports to: Director – Manufacturing
SAF-HOLLAND, Inc. is currently seeking an innovative and technology focused Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for our Dumas, AR facility. Join our team and use your advanced knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals and automation/robotics experience to help SAF Holland deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This position is based in Dumas, AR however will travel 50-75% of the time and could include international travel.

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer you will report to the Director of Manufacturing for the Americas and work alongside highly talented engineers to help influence the development of SAF Hollands existing and new products from concept development through the start of production.
Acts as technical liaison and project leader with local manufacturing engineering, processes and product engineering.
Applies expert product knowledge to evaluate and formulate action plans for operations related product change requests.
Participates as a member of cost reduction teams, product launch teams and assists in technical studies, product design improvements, organization of specifications, technical plans and product testing.
Assists all Americas manufacturing plants in support of product implementation and training.
Supports production efficiency improvements through design and deployment of automated or semi-automated designs
Be the forefront of understanding and implementing new technologies by staying current with new technologies, researching options for facilities and present to upper management the ROI for technology implementation.
The successful candidate will be will be an innovative thinker who can both understand automation/robotics in manufacturing, be able to look at true capability and identify the right place to implement it. Candidates must also have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent, with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment.
Seven years of related manufacturing engineering experience
PLC, Weld Technology, Robotics, Automation, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and Project Management experience.
Great communicating skills that can work across diverse teams.
The ability to think outside of the box and embrace change will be critical to the success of this role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
