Martina Merz to step down from the Supervisory Board of SAF-HOLLAND SE
Bessenbach (D), December 7, 2022 +++ Martina Merz, CEO of thyssenkrupp AG, has notified the Management Board and the Supervisory Board of SAF-HOLLAND SE that she will be stepping down from the Supervisory Board of SAF-HOLLAND SE with effect from December 12, 2022 in order to be available for another supervisory board mandate. This is in view of the recommendations of the German Corporate Governance Code, which recommends limiting the number of supervisory board mandates held. Ms. Merz has accompanied the development of SAF-HOLLAND SE as a member of the Supervisory Board since April 2014, holding the position of Chairwoman from April 2017 to October 2019.
Dr. Martin Kleinschmitt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SAF-HOLLAND SE, a supplier of components to the trailer and truck industry that is listed on the SDAX, states: “We would like to express our sincere gratitude for her great dedication, excellent work and successful cooperation. Despite an increasing number of appointments, Martina Merz has remained loyal to our company to this day and set the tone in all aspects of her work with her distinctive industry experience. Both the company and the Supervisory Board owe her a great deal. We very much regret her departure.”
The supervisory board’s talks with a successor candidate are already well advanced. It is planned to propose her election to the Annual General Meeting of SAF-HOLLAND SE on May 23, 2023.
