SAF­-HOLLAND strengthens competitive position

- Optimized processes in the Powered Vehicle Systems Business Unit
- Sustainable support of the Singen location
- Integration in SAF-HOLLAND GmbH

Bessenbach, August 31, 2012 - SAF-HOLLAND is simplifying the organizational
structures of the Powered Vehicle Systems Business Unit. The structural
measures serve to further optimize business processes and at the same time
tap synergies, benefiting the competitive position of SAF-HOLLAND in the
international market. The focus is on changes in relation to the Singen
location in Baden-Württemberg. SAF-HOLLAND GmbH will acquire the assets of
SAF-HOLLAND Verkehrstechnik GmbH and will assume the employment contracts.
SAF-HOLLAND Verkehrstechnik will then be merged with the parent company
Holland Europe GmbH.

The integration process associated with the merger will be completed by the
middle of 2013. It also includes the transfer of the administration and
sales activities from Singen to SAF-­HOLLAND GmbH headquarters in
Bessenbach.  The Singen location will therefore in future be a branch
focusing primarily on R&D, design and production functions.

'Both locations will benefit from the simplification of the corporate
structures and the centralization of functional areas' says Detlef
Borghardt, CEO of SAF-HOLLAND.In the course of the reclassification, a part
of the Singen workforce will be offered a transfer to Bessenbach.
Essentially nothing is changing for the clients and partners: Existing
contracts will be continued by SAF-HOLLAND with all rights and obligations.
